Shape Moulded EPP
For over 10 years, Isolite have been manufacturing EPP parts for the automotive industry. The culture of high-quality standards, systems, and disciplines required by the automotive industry has influenced the other areas of the Group respectively. Isolite manufactures EPP from the highest quality expanded polypropylene material available, for example, products moulded from ARPRO® are remarkably durable, light weight, and recyclable.
Polypropylene is a plastic made from propylene gas in the presence of a catalyst. Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is manufactured by pressurising silo tanks, containing the raw bead, with air. The raw beads are then transferred into moulds at a high pressure. Once in the mould, the raw beads are then heated using steam. Whilst the pressure drops the beads expand and fill out the mould. The process causes the beads to fuse and mould into the desired product. Isolite produces EPP products mainly for the automotive industry, such as, seat cores, bumpers, knee pads and door fillers.
Lightweight
EPP is used in the automotive industry primarily for this purpose – it is lightweight. Lighter automobiles reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.

Packaging
For both moulded and fabricated packaging, EPP is stiffer and more energy absorbent than other plastics

Heating, ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Used for housing water pumps, heat-exchangers and more, EPP delivers thermal and noise insulation with an optimal lambda coefficient.
Recycling
Polypropylene is recyclable and has the number “5” as its resin identification code
